A Second Chance
In life you will see the good and the bad
In life I feel everyone deserves a chance
Mistakes are made once or twice
Some make three, four, and five before they realize
That in order to progress and get things right
You must learn from the past and sacrifice
In life there's the rich and the poor
In life those of poverty some choose to ignore
A financial woe comes and goes
And prosperity brings along many foes
The gates of goodness opens up
For those who refuse to wait on luck
Some think the law is a fragile rock
Until they see the true size of a cell block
Some need a warning, some need a hug
A few need punishment but most need love
Open your heart and lend a hand
Money doesn't matter if you can be a friend
A loss of a job, a late payment
A bounced check can make or break you
An accumulation of bills that didn't get paid
Cause the funds you sought somehow got delayed
So for once look at the other person's shoes
Understand their problems and hold back the boo's
Everyone must crawl before they walk
Everyone must stutter before they talk
Every person needs two legs to stand
Therefore, everyone deserves a second chance.
